Waimakariri MP celebrates opening of Rangiora Health Hub
The opening of the Rangiora Health Hub today is a direct result of the community having spoken, says Waimakariri MP Matt Doocey.
Health Minister Hon Jonathan Coleman today officially opened the Rangiora Health Hub. Doocey, who spoke at the opening, acknowledged the work done over the years by the community, including the Friends of Rangiora Hospital, and said the health hub was a major asset for North Canterbury.
“I can personally speak for the first-class facilities and great maternity staff following the newest addition to our family just over a week ago. My wife had a wonderful stay in the maternity unit and it was great for me to be able to visit them so close to home,” Doocey said.
Doocey said the opening came near the end of a busy year in Waimakariri that had been marked by new beginnings and openings.
“We’ve had the opening of the Ruataniwha Kaiapoi Civic Centre, the Oxford and Rangiora town halls, the new Ashley Bridge, exciting retail developments in our town centres and, today, this fantastic Rangiora Health Hub.”
