How residents of Waimakariri transition to a low-carbon economy and what impact climate change legislation could have on how we live are questions Waimakariri MP Matt Doocey wants North Canterbury residents to get involved in.
Doocey is bringing National’s Spokesperson for Climate Change Todd Muller to Waimakariri on Friday 3 August for a public meeting at 7pm in the Kaiapoi Club. The “Zero Carbon Bill Yes? No? Maybe?” meeting will give residents an opportunity to hear more and have their say, Doocey said.
“It has always been part of my commitment as local MP to bring my Parliamentary colleagues to the electorate on a wide platform of issues so our residents can be part of shaping the future of our country. How we deal with climate change is going to be one of our biggest challenges ahead and we should all be getting involved,” Doocey said.
